As per Gujarat State's mineral policy 2003, State Govt. has decided to set up Stone Artisan Park at Dhrangadhra and Ambaji. The intension behind this is to develop the intelligence of very small artists and by maintaining their culture, increase their prosperity at national and international level and fast-track industry growth and to ensure orderly and pleasant development.
This stone artisan park inspires the sculptor by providing them external assistance such as land, which consists of all basic provisions. At Ambaji this has been implemented, by providing the beneficial the place at the Stone Artisan Park to do their work. For both the Stone Artisan Park project report has been prepared by GITCO, both parks has been designed by CEPT. At present, construction has been completed by GMDC and both the park’s portfolio has being undertaken by the CGM office.
